Product Technologist:

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role. Experience of Home Furnishings and Retail environments would be an advantage.Ideally, the candidate would have education to degree level in a similar subject.

The deal candidate will:

  • Report into the Technical Manager.
  • Be required to carry out a customer facing role and is expected to be accountable for their product area.
  • Work closely with off shore suppliers, building relationships and improving standards
  • Work according to the critical path launch process and deadlines, risk assessments and ensuring products are fit for purpose & meet legal requirements
  • Will be required to lead and assist with product development and projects
  • Manage user trials and innovation projects for new developments
  • Manage customer complaints and product improvements as required
  • Will be required to conduct and report on regular comp shops and analysis of products on the market
  • Be required to undertake foreign visits Supplier visits to the far east/ other countries

 

Textile Technologist:

 The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role. Experience of textile manufacturing techniques and processes. Ideally, the candidate would have education to degree level in a similar subject.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Report into the Technical Manager.
  • Be required to strengthen the technical knowledge and expertise within your product area, giving total confidence to the customer
  • Work closely with off shore suppliers, building relationships and improving standards
  • Work according to the critical path launch process and deadlines
  • Ensure products are fit for purpose, meet customer standards & legal requirements
  • Be required to lead and assist with product development and projects
  • Manage user trials and innovation projects for new developments
  • Manage customer complaints and product improvements as required
  • Will be required to conduct and report on regular comp shops and analysis of products on the market
  • Will be xperienced in factory auditing for technical capabilities
  • Be required to undertake foreign visits Supplier visits to the far east/ other countries

 

Merchandiser:

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1-2 year’s experience of working in a similar role. Have good Microsoft excel skills, an eye for detail and possess good communication skills.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have an understanding of how to maximise opportunities through the effective management of inventory, driving sales through improved availability, forecasting, reducing mark down and maximising profit.
  • Work within cash flow forecasts and manage all stock levels accordingly.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting of stock within the designated product range based on business trend analysis and research
  • Amending forecast estimates as and when required.
  • Agree estimates for new launches of products with the customer, attend regular launch meetings to ensure that all items are received in time.
  • Place orders with the mills overseas in a timely manner to ensure that customer delivery requirements are met. Orders to be placed by either sea or air freight depending on delivery time scales.
  • Management of the mills to ensure that all deliveries arrive at the specified time, being fully aware of any delays or stock shortages. Liaise with customer as and when required

 

Sewing Machinist:

Experienced sewing machinists with overlocking and flatbed experience idealy in household textiles.
